Combines N6 unloader swivel

We extended the unloader auger on our 83 N7 by about 3 feet. To take the load off the swivel, which we had reservations about, we attached a cable from the top rear of the grain bin to a collar around the tube about where the tube lays in the tube rest when down. The grain bin attachment point was reinforced with angle iron inside the bin. The cable was slightly slack when the unloader was down and became tight when the unloader reached the fully out position. It took quite a bit of adjusting of attachment points and cable length to get it right but we never had a scrap of trouble with unloader mounts and swivel from that point on. Care was taken to see that the cable did not snag on anything when extending or retracting. Costs were a few dollars for the 1_4" diam. cable and cable fittings and the rolling of a foot long x 1_8" thick collar to go around the tube for the tube _ cable anchor point. Hope this is of some help. Cheers!

There is an aftermarket available from loewen for the swivel, and the part that attaches to the combine may also be available this year. Check it out, may already be available.

jbull, We have a insert made to slip inside the bottom 180 degrees of the grain bin mounted unloading swivel mount. It is made of 10 ga. steel and we use a hyd. jack to force it down so it conforms to unloading boot, then we weld it in place. This should take you down the road another 6-8 years depending on the amount of bushels(not acres)run. Also, this insert does not have the clean out hole as we feel this is where the thiness and cracks(leaks)start.Price is $35 plus frt.. Hope this helps, Hyper Harvest II
