Yes, remove the feeder house and the old floor. Go to your dealer and get the replacment part and weld it in. Works very well. Van

Check post on 3-7-06. There was talk there on removing hump at front of this plate. This was done in Australia on old P1 system years ago and he bragged of how it smoothen out flow into cylinder. This prompted going head and removing hump on new P3 equiped machines. Otherwise factory replacement floor will get you back to normal easy enough. Good luck

take your feeder house off,remove the rear chain and front drum, carefully cut the old floor out and then take a piece of cardboard to get the exact profile cut. off to the welding shop for 1_4 in. material or stainless--don't mess with thinner stuff. weld back in.
