Combines N7 header height controlIJ

You could try the Australian built "KEE" ultra sonic depth control system. It uses ultra sonic pulses to measure the height above gound and is wired into the hydraulics of the machine and automatically keeps the same height above ground that you dial in. We use it for constant depth control when seeding. I think they make a unit for header height control such as you want. There is or was a Canadian system available for combines that works on the same principle.

Google "Norac weighing services" formerly "Sentek" from Canada. They have a combine and spray height control system. Sentek was in Australia for a while but the KEE system proved better and more accurate due to the design of the ultrasonic transmitter _ receiver on the implement. Cheers.

G'Day Panhandler I might! be able to locate a second hand Kee ultrasound unit from a neighbor who's little technically challenged, who might like to part with it as it's has not been used for a number of years! You would need to be a bit prepared to work with it, until you got it to your satisfaction. Rolf

Thanks for the reply's. I'm probably looking for something simpler and cheaper. I just wanted to rig something that would stop the feederhouse at an adjustable point. For now I mounted an old radio antennae on the feederhouse in line with the left side of the cab. I mounted a guide on the cab that the antennae runs through. Black tape is my adjustable guage. Thank you!

Why not try a different length stop on the feeder house ramIJ Replace the original for as long as you are using the sprayer.

Yes, I thought of that and may still do it. I think it would need to be adjustable for different running heights in different conditions. Thanks!
