Combines N7 losing power

My tractor used to do that whenever the fuel filters were plugged. By shutting it off it lets the stuff fall to the bottom until it is stired up again. Kurt

Maybe an intermittent connection at the fuel shutoff solnoid. Could be a bad coil on the fuel shutoff solnoid. As the coil heats up it cannot hold the fuel valve open.

Have had machines before with debris in fuel tank. After some operation crud would suck against tank outlet. Shut it off and floats away, machine works fine until drawn back to tank outlet.

I installed a T in the fuel outlet line with ball valves to periodically blow back into the tank to clear the crud from the bottom. I have drained and flushed the tank but still cannot seem to get all the crud out. Blowing back into the tank with air while the machine is leaning to the right seems to get me through the season. Also after blowing back I leave the machine sit overnight so the crud settles away from the tank sump. Pete Hinrichsen
