Kelly, I am having good luck with 600 RPM and 5_8 in wet (15%) green beans. I dont know what an 853 head is but I lock out the variable speed and run the large sheave for beans with a 500 head. Tom Russell
Kelly, Why don't you try slow speed for it will save a little wear and tear on things. Not hard to switch back if she's plugging to easy. Not sure if you are taxing that feeder much anyway with that head. Good luck. Dan
