The NAPA gold filters should be fine for the 250 GM engine. I have used NAPA and Fram oil filters on all my GM engines with out any trouble. I just replaced the NAPA gold filter on my 68 Belaire after running it for almost a year. (less than 3K miles) Worked just fine. I have a 73 K, 250GM gasser, and would not hesitate to use the NAPA filters on it too. My 2 cents worth...
