I was at an auction today in South Central Kansas. A 1998 R72 with new cage, 30' header, 1800 engine hrs. and 1400 rotor hrs., sold for $44,000. That was a bargin! I think the major drought that we are having here in Kansas had someting to do with the low price. In the Western part of the state the wheat is about history for this year. North Dakota will probably raise more wheat again this year than Kansas. K.A.

I was at the same sale in South Central Kansas where the 98 R72 was for sale but several of Martins neighbors told me it did not sell and that he told them that if he did not get ninety thousand for it he would keep it.

Big Boy, Glad to hear that. $90,000 sounds just a bit steep, but $44,000 was way to cheap. K.A.
