Kit includes panels to fill in area between the skids in bottom of front feed. Filler iron to smooth corners and fill in area tilted down in front feed. Pan head bolts to replace hex head bolts. Eighteen inches of new 1_4" thick floor with no hump for front of rear feed. Angle iron beater irons for rear feed tention drum (can only be used with tention drums with W-rings and flat chain slats). Template for drilling new holes for pivoting seal panel which moves down with tilted down front end of rear feed floor. Also template for locating holes on front of square tube in front feeder which are used to hold back end of filler panels between the skid rails. I decided to include all this in kit because before I ever tilted floors down and removed the hump I had did the mods further forward and it all helped. I suggest that you pick up the replacement 1' panel for rear of front feed from your dealer. This panel is 1_4" thick and has revised location for seal. You'll need the tin strip that holds seal on also. This panel can be found in R65-75 parts manual. It's a good time to install if floor is getting thin at all for then you can forget about that area for a very long time. I would also have your dealer get rear most floor from the R75 book for it will fit right in. The kits we ship within US have been running right near $100 freight. We only shipped one to Canada and I believe it was $150-$200. A couple other kits went to Canada but were picked up by dealer. Many floors were tilted in Canada and Australia where they went to local machine shops to fabricate new floor. Many of these machines didn't get full job as my kit provides but they are sure working well by all reports. Check out the Sunnybrook booth at the Red Deer show for the feed floor tilting expert of Alberta will be there. Wish I could be there with him. Maybe someday. Take care.

Dan, do the feed floor mods apply to my '87 P1 R70, or is it only for the 62 and 72IJ

Biggest improvement will be noted in these models: R40-50 R42-52-62-72-55-65-75. I have never changed any prior machines for they did bother as much and few around hear anymore. But I have suggested to some guys to go ahead and flaten the floor below tention drum on them other machines. Do know of at least one guy in Australia that did and he claimed the slugging noise within cylinder went away. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to tilt floors on them earlier machines but haven't done it. Good luck

Thanks Dan, I'm going to have to bite the bullet and tie into this feeder this winter. Our floor wore thru a couple years ago from pushing 50 foot swaths into it which was very hard on the combine(that blasted swather will never be put into 50 foot configuation again!!!).The replacement panel the welding shop made up did not fit worth a darn and is causing grief. Going to try and go to Red Deer,it's a good show but not a big as Regina.

I wouldn't be afraid of the 50' if it is layed out nice. That is if you follow the floor mod trick. I see Gleaner has now introduced a kit to speed up feeder. I believe they are using same belt and pulley system from prior lTM systems. We run a few of these over the years prior to tilting floor and it would help some but would plug tighter. I think we could couple the faster feeder with tilted floors to gain even more capacity but I have not needed to use the faster pulley with any tilted floors yet. I have an Aussie friend that has doubled the front right feeder belt and installed milled rear feed pulleys to accept special deeper groove rear feed belt which eliminates any slipping and runs very cool. Hard to say what is better for chain. Higher speed at less torque or lower speed with more torque. Smoothening out the floor should be first step!!!
