Do you have an old 715 combine with a good engineIJ I think the 706,and the 715 combine have the same engine.

A 715 has a 303 gas in it. I'm not sure about a 615 I could look it up. My uncle took a 303 out of a 715 and put it in his Hough 50 Payloader a few years ago. As far as I know it went in without any major problems.

I don't know how it will affect you, but I work at a CaseIH dealership. The engine could be the same or different. The 706 could have a C-263 or C-291 gas engine. The 715 combine could only have the C-301 gas engine. The 706 could have a diesel D-282 or D-310. The 715 combine could have a D-301 or D-310 diesel engine. Don't know how they would be to switch out. I just looked at a reference chart we have here. Maybe this helps.

The original question was on the on the 615 combine. The 615 combine had the C-263 gas or the D-282 diesel engine.

It should fit, might be necessary to change oil pan, and adaptor plate at rear of engine. One point to consider, the 706 used 2 different front frame rail designs. The 615 engine will be close to the early 706 with the C263, I am not sure how much if any block differnce there is between the C263 and the late 706's C291. If memory is correct the C263 and C291 are same block and crank with a larger bore on C291 so you should be within reason.
