I can help you with this one. WE have a 36 ft. Macdon on our 480 cat. We've tried the floating ground contour kit, skid plates, they were even down and reangled the sickle bar back. It doesn't work near as well as our 25 ft. Flexhead. You can't get as close to the ground no matter how level the field is, and any mound of dirt or anything it will just bulldoze right over. I realize a new header is a lot of money, but you sure run a lot of dirt through the machine, and you are really pushing your luck with rocks. Bad Idea. WE do it, but its very stressful for the operator

Hello Don, I have enjoyed reading your comments and ideas about the CR. I ran a CR970 this last fall for about 2 rounds in beans and it was unreal (especially from running a TR98 most of the fall). I would do anything to go out there and help you out with the CR, but I am taking classes this summer at Ohio State to get ahead on the ag engineering curriculum. However this fall should be fun with a CR940 on the way, I just have to talk Dad into getting me an operators manual soon for some good reading material. Whats the infoview monitor like, I didn't get to play with it much this fallIJ It looks like a hard core techies dream come true. I cannot wait for it! Well, please keep us posted! Cole

You need to get in some cockpit time before your serious harvest. The manual has 100 pages on the info view. So come on out!
