aha,, get a gleaner!!!! actually a gleaner flex head if properly adjusted is a real good feeding machine, but you have to take the time to set the reel and autoheader control and the table auger height. many times as you lower the reel down you will need to also slide it back i would assume yu have fore and aft on the 925, i am willing to sacrifice a few plastic reel fingers to improve feeding, i think it is easier to get the gleaner head to cut "flatter" and not have much of a hump in the flex sheets, gleaner also have a "raised feather sheet" that is helpful in short beans, although i have never used it. there is a mod that can be done with a 3 " hose clamped behind the cutter bar that flips the beans back in to the auger, see it in the gleaner section under mods or attachments hope it helps James

the problem is in the header, not the combine. The short beans just dont feed very well even when the reel is all the way down and then when you get in some taller beans just raise the reel up until it quits throwing them over. I know a 8820 will cut beans at 4.0 mph if its feeding good.

I liked your advise. You have to have asense of humor if you own a Gleaner. I didn't tell you about when my neighbors rear axle broke off or when he broke the main counter shaft AGAIN. It was interesting when I helped him put a new transmission in it in the field a couple of years ago. The best was when he could lift the grain head but it wouldn't go down. That mystery took two days and we still don't know what we did to get it to start working again. My neighbor is a good farmer and an excellent mechanic but I've had a Gleaner and think their good machines but not for me.
