I ran an M2 for 15 years with little downtime. It is such an easy machine to get at; you can look at almost everything by removing access panels. There are no hidden parts you have to worry about. Just look for wear or damaged stuff. This may sound strange, but I look at appearance items when buying used machinery. My feeling is that a guy who will take care of cab upholstery for example probably took care of mechanical items as well. This is the method I used when appraising used cars when I owned the car dealership. Tom in MN

I 've been running a M2 for 16 years. Very dependable machines, easy to work on, lots of aftermarket parts available. The weakest point on this machine is the unloading auger pivot. But with a lowen aftermarket pivot that problem stopped. Is this combine a rasp bar or a spike toothIJ What crops do you plan to harvestIJ Used to run Masseys and I'll tell you this-the Gleaners are a lot easier to work on by far. Good luck!! T3
