9760 is a class 7 machine,8010 class 8 ,9860 class 8,590 cat class 9

I heard that Deere are having problems blowing engines, don't quote me just what I heard.

Thanks for the help what I was saying was that the Deere 9760 and the 8010AFX was not the same class of machine. Thanks Patrick

Well, yes and no. Technically, the 9760 is not as large as the 8010. But, you can buy a chip for the John Deere to make it put out more power. A neighbor of ours recently traded two 9750's on two 9660's. They then bought chips that boost the HP to something close to what the 9860 is running. I think the only difference in any of these machines is the engine HP. So, it's probably possible to make the 9760 keep up with an 8010.

I believe that is dead on 8010 and 9860 same class machine

DeadDuck...that's what you'll be if that 8.1 chipped engine give up the ghost. I would make a small wager there are differences between the 96, 97 and 98 drive parts too.
