Combines need faster clean grain auger

Some of the things you described sound like the clean grain elevator is slowing down,is the woodruff key on the elavator sheared, sometimes they will act like that, hold and then slip, just a thought. Is the elevator chain snug,Ithink you said it was newIJNot to offend but could the chain have been put in backwardsIJ

took the sheave off to check the key, it was ok, then spot welded the clutch just for kicks to eliminate what i thought was slippage. turns it wasn't. chain is good but seems to loosen a slight bit after running a hour or two.checked for any wholes in pan in the shoe that would cause excess tailings and everything ok. the 330 bin gets full in 5 1_2 minutes at 2.7 mph. if i get any faster thats when i have problems.

How much more capacity do you wantIJ By my calculations, you are harvesting a therotical 3400 bushels an hour. The clean grain elevator was built to handle 3000 bushel an hour. I think your problem goes beyond slipping clutches and loose belts. You have just met the design limits of the machine. Kelly

'92 machines had smaller clean grain drive pulley. '93 to today had larger faster clean grain slip clutch pulley. Be sure no one installed the older smaller pulley. Is flighting on auger leaning into flowIJ Augers will not work well if flighting is leaned away from flow. We us a squared up piece of iron and lay onto shaft against flighting on flow side and there should never be a gap at OD of flighting. How far from 1_4" flighting to paddlesIJ Any chance factory didn't get it close enough. I've found in many areas that the larger that distance the tougher to keep things going. I know you said earlier that you just looked at auger and not replace so maybe a little inspection will pinpoint problem and it sounds simple but maybe the other guy has something with chain in backwards. Good luck
