Call Eighty-One Farm Equipment Service in McPherson, 800-357-3101. They sell some nice header trailers. The only place in Moundridge that I know of that made combine and header trailers sold out several years ago.

There is a distributor in Inman, Ks for the manufacturer at Moundridge. I called and priced a new trailer with him this winter and I was thinking a new 4 wheel trailer was $ 1800 2 wheeled trailer was around $ 1200. Didn't keep the number but I can get it for you if you would like. I called the place in McPherson and he quoted me $ 2500 for his.

I think Inman was the place. See if you can get the phone number. I checked on the one in McPherson too. My old trailer will work in a pinch if I stretch it. I was wanting something a little heavier to haul long distance and maybe one that I could haul my corn head too. Thanks, John

The place in McPherson sells at least two diffferent models of header trailers. One is an off road model. You can haul any make of head and any kind of head on it but if you're going to haul your header a long way you do not want that model because the DOT will probably make you park it if you get caught on the highway with it because the tires are for off highway use only. I happend to drive by their place yeasterday and that was the only kind I saw on their lot unless they had some of the others in the back.
