Combines Need Help 2388 field tracker

When you put your head on your combine you got the 5 wire connection put together wrong. The connector with 5 plugs need to be taken apart and rotated so the metal in the 3 holes are in the other 3 holes with metal in them. look for the 3 little slots to fit with the 3 ridges.

problem exists in header harness probaly

This head worked on our 1997 2188 last year, so my question is, is the newer combine the reason I need to rotate the connectorIJ I will try it and see what happens. Thanks for the help.

You just need to get it connected right. I had the same problem going to a new combine this year.

ontrack, Two of the wires in the plug have to be swapped. For some reason when they went to the newholland head the wires reversed. I don't remember the colors of the wire. Make some jumpers to figure it out. I think one was pink or had a pink tracer. Basically the wiring going to the left pot needs to swap with the right. Hope this helps.
