Combines NEED HElP air intake temp

If you have not spent a long time cleaning the coolers, removing the rotary screen for better access, and also cleaning the venturi critter that is just before the air filter, it is a must that you do this. Just a little restriction will cause your problem. My combine was plagued with the same proplems until I took the time and did it right. With the sensor change and continued cleaning there has been no further problems. You must use lots of water, and time. Good luck.

I'll second everything Bubs said below. Clean that thing out like it was a surgical tool. Don't even think of by passing the feeder shut off. It is there to save the engine. I know it can be frustrating. It has happened to me also. When I was having that trouble I thought my cooler was clean until I finally took the time to really clean it out and there was all kind of dirt in it.

I thank you both for your advice. I found a solution. There is a special sensor for high temperature areas. we had two brought in this morning and NO MORE PROBlEMS!! i am so happy. I will post the part number tomorrow, left the package in the cab of the combine.

Would like the part n if you have it. We've had this problem, and spent a lot of time cleaning, to no avail. It's often over 100 degrees when we're harvesting soybeans and corn here. I asked my parts man about the special sensor and he doesn't know what I'm talking about.
