Only enough to allow the helical to extend across. Taper the remaining divider at the leading edge. Tom langan

Is it recommended to use locktite on the 2 bolts that holds crop divider secure. They sure come out tough.

Hmmmm, I don't know. We just cut ours off with a torch and used a big grinder to smooth the taper off again. Did this rather than fight with trying to remove the divider. I would think that the crop divider is less crucial with the helical wedge installed. Perhaps one of the Hyper gurus could shed some light on this... Tom langan

Your fine in removing factory flow divider to install factor helical wedge. Wedge would do you no good if you were able to install with flow divider in. Factory helical wedge extends far enough rearward to prevent material from sliping over to seperator side before first being threshed. I'm just afraid that factory wedge extends to far and interups flow to cylinder.
