We've run about 1000 acres through an 8X30". Not a minute of trouble (knock on wood). The plastic chain cover (on ends) knock down corn when cutting in (at an angle) a piece of flat bar and a couple bolts per side fixed that. If you use field tracker and auto height control the wiring is now standard equip(except for some extensions and of course the sensors) however the wires have to be reversed at the plug for field tracker(throat connection). To adjust the stripper plates you have to loosen 10 bolts_row. The hyd adjustable option only moves one side of the row. Row units use a grease now instead of 90w. It has done a good job and chops stalks like the old case headers did. Oil the header auger chain hit the universal joints and ride.
