as a nebraskan i resent your comment about us messing up case's crappy design! if the engineers can't fix the junkers how in the world is that our faultIJ seems maybe they should of got the horse ahead of the cart instead of the other way around! just my two cents!

I wonder why CNH has to use 1,000+ Nebraskans to build the same amount, probably less combines, than 700 Il_IA employees did previously in Moline.

it just takes that many more of us to fix there crappy design right! not to mention now there putting two different lines of equiptment together, who according to some couldn't be differnt and others that they are nearly the sameIJ

ill have to take back part of my post, the 2388 is a fine machine! my post is toward the 8010's fine designIJ saying its our fault that the 8010 flopped is just plain wrong! i think case was thinking way ahead of things keeping the 2388's for now anyway to back up the 8010's. the greeen guys could take a few lesson's from them! sometimes if it aint broke why try to screw it upIJ

I visited Grand Island in the summer and the attitude of the guys (and girls)on the line really impressed me. I have been to tractor and combine plants all over Europe and to one the other side of the river from Moline and the people on the line in Nebraska were far and away the most enthusiastic and committed to their product of any I have come in contact with. The attitude of management to constructive questioning about design, service and operational problems was however disapointingly flippant (They couldnt care less. There are no problems!)

It's my understanding that the 2388s will pretty much identical as they used to be except they will have much better paint jobs and I think they are going to leave the hydrualic lines unpainted like they do on the 8010's. As the others have said it was NH that messed up the 8010 and not the people at the factory.

I don't think that NH messed up the 8010. The NH CR's work good. NH let the CIH people build the 8010 the way they wanted to. I do think the 8010 will be a good combine anyway. I think some people on here have a hard time with anybody messing with there old IH stuff. Seems they think it is still 1980.

So the CRs are working good bull sh-- check out the NH page a lot of the same issues that need to be adressed with the 8010 they are having problems with power being n1, for weight of combine, the 2388 is and probably will be the best combine that comes out of Grand Island I sure hope that the Case does not change venders or we could have issues with the 23s like the 8010s and CRs and I can see them changing feeder house on 23s to take a NH junk 2020 and doing away with the with the 1020s and do not get me wrong I like and run the latest and greatest Red iron made to date but equipment has to work with little down time or I will not keep it, I do not have time for down time, if you go back in some of my posts back in August and September I was probably one of the biggest supporters of the 8010 then we got about 80 hrs on the combine and some wet weather and the machine never ran a full day so now you know why I am so down on it .
