Keith, you didn't explain how many rows, but I'm running a 6 row Hugger on a 62, and the first thought that came to mind as I read your post is your not running the feeder house fast enoughIJ If your running the belt on the right hand side in the slow position, change it to the high side, been running mine there sense new, '96, still running the original chains. Hope this helps or that someone here can help. Good luck.

Most all 830s around hear and every one I got my hands on I extended flighting to intersect a common line around tube. This cured problem of material stalling and backing into row. Also a must do is floor between auger and feed chain. It is a simple bolt in false floor that promotes continuous flow to feed chain without stalling. There is also a nice option of a hood for over feed chain area and it prevents the ocasional cob from fliping out. I've had lots of flighting from shrinking a 830 to 822 but now am out and will order replacement flighting extention or something like that to do my next one. Good luck
