pru46: We had a Macdon, it gave us good service. We wanted to go bigger, got an Agco 5000 at a good price, now we wonder why we put up with the Macdon. The Agco feeds much better, seems lighter on the front of the combine, we like the double bearings in the rollers (should last longer). Good luck it should give you good service. Neil

I don't remember exactly the price they quoted me on a new macdon flex draper (close to $40k),but I paid $29K for a 2005 agco 5000

Are you sure it is a 5000, I thought for 2005 it was the new 5100.

I guess I need to find out what I bought. It is supposed to be made in march of 2005.

Holy Shmokes!! Must be some "Back to the Future" stuff going on there - or your Gleaner got going so fast it turned into a time machine! I'd say it's safe to assume you meant 2004....! Tom

Is the Agco Draper a flex headIJ I don't think it is. If so, you can't really compare the price of a flex draper to a straight draper.

This will show my ignorance, but from what I understand the header will flex some, I don't know if it a 5000, 5100 or whatIJ It will be made in March 2005. It is a 36ft. draper, with pick up reel, towing package, etc.
