I run a bit of everything i have 2 sts combines and one cat as far as price the red one was bout 8000 cheaper than the deeres and as far as the cat goes it was on a lease so i do not have to worry bout trade in the lessor is taking it back

I would hope that the new Case would eat a 460's lunch, it is supposed to be a class 7_8 machine where the 460 is only a class 6.

I am pretty sure he is talking about testing a 2388 out what has the afx rotor in it, not the new prototype machines....

I talked to our Cat Salesman about a week ago and he just had training on the new machines. He laughed and said they ARE very simple, and have a pretty good cab. Of course they like the engine cause its Cat too. I asked him how it would compare to a lexion, hoping to get a comparison....equal to 480IJ 470RIJ He told me it would run with a 2388 and a 9650 STS. My $.02

Remember that Challenger is owned by Agco, Gleaner, Massy. Cat sold them the challenger and lexion line, but part of the deal was to supply them with the engines and undercarriage. So the combines will be alot alike.
