Yes, just when you thought they couldn't get any dumber, a moron like you who can't punctuate, spell, or ever make a helpful comment opens his mouth.

Hello 706GAS, My uncle owned a 403 and several 815's_915's over the years. He was slow to "let go" of his last 915, having purchased one of the last 915's built before the rotaries came out. He went on to purchase a 953 conventional which was imported (grey market) into Canada from Europe. He was told that the 953 combine was identical to a 915, only to find that there were some minor differences between the 2 machines; - parts were a challenge to buy at times. My uncle quit farming 3 years ago and I took over his acreage. His last combine was a 2188.

Greetings 706 gas. Glad you decided to join. Just be carful with the "spirited debate". If it gets a little too spirited, the site police will issue citations P.S. catmandont is usually full of.........spirited stuff, if you want to have that kind of debate just ask him.

Hello Rob, I'm not sure, but I think Winston was directing his comments towards Catmandont and not 706gas. Personally, I'd like to see a little more talk about the older technology on these forums; - makes for interesting reading.

There was no call for that vitriolic reply. (If you don't know what it means, look it up.) Chads

HEY 706 glad to have some new blood posting on here and if you have been reading for a while you know not many people think much of catsh-- so dont worry about what he says he portrays many people on here and then he sometimes post under some one else names so he can talk, thinking somebody will listen, and your other question, yes we had a pull type Case I think somthing like A-6 maybe, first machine I drove was a 203IH then to a 715 then to axial flow

I was addressing catmandont. I think it is extremely poor manners to reply to a first time poster like he did. In addition, this is his usual attitude towards the forum and he never has any useful information that I have seen.

When I was about 7, I went with my dad and he bought a 503 Hydro. Kinda funny--he had it delivered with just a shade over the seat as he wasn't going to ever drive it himself. A year or two later, our hired man needed the day off to go to a funeral and my dad ran it for the afternoon. The next monday morning he had the people out there putting a new cab and AC on it.

I grew up on a IH 181. Big combine for its day. We also had a 92 Massey. 181 was way more combine than 92. We then went to 510 Masseys which were good combines but hell to work on. Now have a 1480 and 2388 and could not be happier with them.
