What is your favorite? New Holland or John Deere? Are there really major differences between the two brands?

I had JD early 90's than switch to Kubota since 95 we've own 3 Kubota and very very happy with them.
NH & JD are good tractors but also consider there service department when your in need.

Many of the brands have options peculiar to the brand.
The New Holland has a "turtle/rabbit" mode I have not seen on some of the other brands. Kubota uses a "rocker" pedal on their HST while NH offers a two-pedal setup.
You need to try all the brands if you can and, like @Wildlife said, make sure your dealer has a good service department.
