Back in the late 70's, Claas bought a White 9700 with an 8 row cornhead and 20' flex for research and analytical purposes. The combine was returned to Ontario, Canada in 1981 and sold by a Claas dealer in lucknow, Ontario. It will be very interesting to see if there are any similarities between the new lexion and the White.

the NEW ClAAS lEXION 490 SINGlE ROTOR is the exact copy of Italian ROSSO-FIREFOX combine of 1991. Visit the website of Italian company:www.rossoint.com and you can see the rivolutionary FIREFOX combine in axial single rotor or conventional version.

Interesting to know! I actually drove up to lucknow to look at the machine, along with a service manager from a White dealership. The price was right but the only hiccup was the fact that (according to the White service rep) this machine was missing a substantial number of factory upgrades. He was also leary of the fact that the machine had been partially dismantled by Claas engineers and questioned whether it was reassembled properly. Is the machine still localIJ I farm southwest of london, Ontario.
