Welcome to the wonderful world of Gleaner. You have one of the best combine models ever built. My advice would be to buy a shop manual and parts catalog. Some guys balk at the cost but you really need them in my opinion. Ironically, I happen to have a complete parts catalog that I can part with. Email if interested. Tom in MN

Welcome aboard, The l2's and l3's are great work horses and run a long time with proper care. We have two l2's both with 7500 hrs and a friend has a l3 with 8500 hrs. I would agree with Tom and get the manuals. Of course I could list 101 things to check, but a place to start would be to check chains, sprockets, belts, bearings, cyl. bars and concave. We usually check things over from header to spreader and the books would be a great resource. Where are you from in the wheat and milo countryIJIJIJ I hope this helps you get started. Thanks for the feedback. I already have the manuals and parts book (thanks anyway Tom). I live in Southern KS and wheat harvest is pretty close. Hopefully have the l2 ready to do some cutting. thanks again.
