There are three things that come to mind right away. I really think the second applies to you. First thing is the condition of the fan, these things wear out, when they do the temps start climbing.........I know a lot of people will tell you to use the monometer test.........I have done this also........most times a visual inspection will tell what you need to know. The thick edge is the leading edge. The outer corner used to be a sharp corner.......if this is rounded off quite a bit, this is bad. the trailing...........or thin edge.......if it is sharp or worn to the point that there is a paper thin lip on it........this is worn. Have the entire fan rebuilt.......dont try to just replace the fan blades. There are several bearings and shafts that will need replaced. Second is cleaning. Very few people will believe it until they see it, but most engines are not getting cleaned well. I dont know how you did your cleaning but here is the best way I have found. You need high pressure water........hot is good.............and high pressure air. Remove as many of the shileds as you can......be sure to remove the one on the back side of the engine behind the jugs. Wash both directions through the engine and the coolers until NOTHING else comes out. Then blow with air both directions until nothing comes. Do this over and over again. It really sound like you cooler is dirty. it may take several hours of this. Some time you need to let it sit and the hard packed dried gunk needs to soak up the water and soften up so it can be washed out. I have seen many engines that were supposed to be clean need many hours of cleaning to really get clean. Once it is clean you should be able to make the season with a little air cleaning. The third thing is your asperator, or as some will call it your precleaner. this also needs to be removed and cleaned much the same way as the engine and coolers. Hope this helps. VSTK

I knew of an R62 that had a bad oil cooler bypass valve under the cooler.Im not sure 52s use one,might be something to check.

I think I might be able to help you tomorrow. Chances of 12" of blowing snow. If your wondering if your fan is moving enough air I would take a water manometer reading of air pressure within engine shrouding. I wouldn't like to see anything less that 6" with operating temperature oil and engine running at rated speed. If you can't get a manometer reading to verify pressure and a viewing of blade shows wear per vstk you may be best to remove and replace. It is good to replace blade sooner than later anyway for it can get out of balance when worn excessive and that causes more problems. Were you able to use fairly high pressure water to blow straight threw oil cooler above oil filter so you could observe water flowIJ Hope you got it cool by time you read this. Found the temps for you. 265F is red line on gauge. 290F is when light should be on. Head temp light should come on when head gets to 425F. Engine compartment will be very hot and that is normal. When they added HP to these 52s they inclosed area around the head of tailings elevator to prevent recirculating the hot engine compartment air threw the rotary screen. Good luck
