I saw a STX 430 on a trailer a couple of weeks ago in southern KS. The exhaust and air intake has been relocated to the left side. I don't know anything else.

Dealer told me that louisville is one of the public release shows for the new magnum and STX so I would expect that they will have both new tractors there. That STX430 must be a show unit on its way to a show or dealer release meeting in Phoenix later this month as dealer also said that production release to start March 01_2006 for shipments to customers.

FYI: STX 280 CDC 8.3 with common rail; STX 330 9.0 CDC with common rail; STX 380 and 430 12.9 l Cursor engine with left side mounted exhaust and air intake, includes 175 amp alt; STX 480 and 530 QSX 15l Cummins with extra wide front frame for 200mm wider radiator, includes 4 headlights rather than 3. Engine information also applies to TJ series as well.

Hi! Shellman, did they get the transmission so it well move ahead when told to on Grain Cart duty. How about when PTO in gear say 1900rpm on engine does the electronics drop the engine rpm and derate the HP and nearly kill the engine before tractor moves eiter forward or reverse. Sure hated the early one I had. With only PWM on the Master Clutch. Too much delay and derate for a fast Grain cart. Ole JD 8320 sure has not had the grain spills or clutch issues (pto slip clutch) on Grain cart duty.

Engine speed increase when moving fnrp thru neutral was an engine_transmission software issue for shuttle shift. 06 tractors will have PWM on all clutches, not just master clutch. Power shift transmission shift modulation has been an issue with FUJI transmissions for a number of years. Hope this has as dramatic affect on shift quality as when the Series 2 MX Magnums came out with the same approach. Much better shift quality, although it does require that every clutch be calibrated.

Boy what value do you put on early STX or TJ's, PWM now on Hyd remotes, A_C, all transmission clutches, and no one that I know ever figured out how to control the one PWM that I once wanted so bad...the accu-steer front axle auto-steer. You know you helped me alot on that one but I could never master it on that complicated STX within any great row crop accuracy. But it sure works good on my ole man's JD 4WD. Took less than 15 minutes to calculate it. And I am certain I spent 5 days or more messing with the STX and all the different ways. Kind of sad but in a way I am very happy the way it ended, cause you guys could not even fix the A_C or add end of row features to my STX.
