What have you tried up to nowIJ Speed and concaves ect. Usual problem is overloading the chaffer because the rotor grinds up all the mog. Common problem in closing the lower seive so much that you restrict air to the chaffer and then the slick little seeds go out the back with the chaff. You need to check for seeds leaking out at various places too. May need to get out the duct tape.

Try rotor=600, fan=700, concave=4, bottom sieve-1_16", vanes=neutral. If the canola has been down for a long time, open the concaves to 5 or even 6. If the straw is still green, you may have to close up the concave to 3.5 or even 3. Sometimes a little more rotor speed helps too. You'll have to fine tune the fan speed to your conditions. There is usually a fine line between plugging the returns and blowing canola out the back. It seems that every canola field requires a slightly different setting for best performance. It as not likely that your speed will be limited by horsepower, but rather losses on either rotor or chaffer. Remember that seperation works best when the combine is full, so going too slow can make things worse, rather than better. Hope that some of this helps, Sparky
