Yes move it ahead. There are some tins that cover up the out side raddle chains in the throat. Get them. I will carry the crop just a few more inches in, but it will stop the problem of rapping around the square tube that is in the throat at the top end. At least we had the problem with a 530 flex on our 81 N6. We now run an 8030 flex on it without these tin covers an it works fine. Go figure. We also added the 3P header height control. Which sickle do you haveIJ

It has a Crary Gold Cut sickle.I'm not familiar with the sickle so I hope it does alright in no-till beans.How did you do your pump and res.IJDid you have to buy them or did you have them off of an older headIJ

Good morning. Yes, we had to buy a pump when the 530 was new. About 4 years ago while pulling the beanhead on a trailer to another field, it was struck by a graintruck and was totaled out. We kept the pump and moved it over onto our now 8030 with air reel. This is one thing I have to fault Gleaner for. You can put an old JD head on a New JD combine without all of the messing around. We need throat adp., wiring, and pumps. We always seem to have alot of hoops to jump through. WhyIJ
