Combines nh3 prices

Our co-op has not set a prepaid price for NH3 and doubt if they will. They say if we want to lock in the price the only way is to apply it now. Problem is it's raining and ground was already too wet. Price for full service is $395 piad by 1_20_05 or $425 pd by 1_31_05

I can't say that I disagree with you farmertony. Problem is there is only one other dealer close enough to do business with and they are usually the same on price or higher :~((

years ago i bought my own applicator from a fert co going out of bus auction, cost me $200.00. and i ussually get about $25.00 off per ton delivered because of it. might try that approch, mine paid for itself the first year by a long ways!!

you now it's too bad the way the farm economy is sometimes seems dealers are dropping right and left. I'm blessed with several good ones. competition works. trouble is the Nh3 producers are buying it overseas for what they used to pay and jacking it up for us here. (natural gas prices are a lot cheaper overseas) some ones always making a killing out of our hard work. my .02

What are you whinning about nowIJ Something else you do not know aboutIJ like not being (knowning how) able to run a modern combineIJ Farmers made more money this year as a group than anytime in history. Do you farm like you run an 8010! Why don't you go into the importation of Nh4 and make a killing. It's clear that in addition to not being able to know how to now not run an 8010 your understanding of farming and how you are now supplied is being called into question. Why would I now know that a cry baby from Mn would now know any better.

WEll we have had a drought here for the last 7 years so we are hurting pretty bad and wonder how we can afford to apply nh3 With 3.20 wheat and 1.75 milo and 1.80 farm fuel.

Book it, it ain't going down. Nitrogen fertilizer prices are based on natural gas prices, and they're high right now. Problem is, now is when they have to make the fertilizer for next spring. So even if natural gas went down, N prices won't.

Jusr checked with Co Op and they are at 356.00 per ton full service just went up it was at 336.00.
