Combines no header lift

Since the fuse doesn't blow until you push the switch, there is a short between the switch and the valves. look for wire damage starting at the switches in the cab and working your way back to the valve stack. You may likely find the wires shorted out on the combine frame from mice chewing on the insulation or due to rubbing of the wires at a sharp metal edge. Good luck

Hey Gamaman, thanks for your advice but I messed that post up by saying the fuses are blowing when you try to run them. The fuses are actually blowing as soon as you turn the key on. I think we have eliminated it down to either the seat interlock module or the header control module. Does anyone know how to check or have these testedIJ Neither of them are cheap, so I need a way to find out which one it is.

We usually have rebuilt modules that you can simply plug in and try quick but I don't see how either one of them modules would have anything to do with it. What fuses are blowingIJ You could likely just unplug them modules and see if fuse still blows. Maybe if we know just what fuse blows we could check schematic. If you are losing both funtions for same reason I would pull up switch panel to look for bare wire or wires grounding out.

There is only one fuse blowing and it is the header height_unloader swing fuse located on the left side of the console. When you unplug the modules the fuse does not blow. We have already checked schematic and chased all wires as good as possible and see no problems. The problem has to be in one of these modules. We're just not sure which one. Is there a way to have them testedIJ Thank you for your reply.

Do you have auto header turned offIJ locate auto header module (be sure you have the right one). Unhook only wires that go to it and plug other module back in. If nothing blows hook the 3 terminal plug that comes from hydro handle back up to the combine harness (not the auto header). See what you find out. Should be able to iron it out a little further with that info. Good luck
