A lot of guys I know talk about how bad the radiators on flat screen machines plug up, but honestly I have never had any trouble with the radiator plugging up on mine except once when the radiator core got a pin hole and started leaking, and the antifreeze started collecting dust. I was cutting wheat, and it was about 103 degrees outside, and I was running the A_C on max, and the temp guage would creep up, but never got into the red. I got a new core put in it, and have had no trouble since. I blew the radiator out last spring after wheat, and I just finished picking 200 acres of corn with it last week, and the radiator never plugged up once. After I finish beans, I will probably blow the radiator out, before I put the combine away for the winter. I think the flat screen gas combines were much worse about overheating because they run a lot hotter than the diesels. They were also famous for catching fire and burning up. Thats why so few of them are left.
