The '96 machines in our area have the split hydro like the latest machines and they seam to have a bit more wine than the back to back hydro of past years. That makes me think it has more to do with mud shields or field conditions or door not sealed tight ect on your new machine. The displacement of split hydros is less but run at a higher pressure so torque should be a wash but maybe a little more wine under tough going. Be sure the high pressure hoses between pump and motor are not rubbing on frame somewhere. I have a hunch that hydro pump will be moved quite ways away from cab when new cab comes so that should hush cab even more.
