Joe: the stone trap, is an easy fix just take the trap door off, you'll see where the paint is worn off..cut along the two sides and the back of the door(hing side)using the shiny metal as the guide... bend down to allow approx. 3" of extra space at the back...fill in the gaps with metal...easy and allows that extra space for rocks to be pounded into the trap... did you replace the old front beater with the new styleIJ That will help keep rocks out of the machine...the old beater is like having a scoop for throwing rocks into the rotor.. I'll send you the pics of the diverter..were you getting the left side overloadingIJ Neil

should we consider the stone trap upgrades and beater upgrades for a 9720 or 8590IJ There is a fellow in Saskatchewan that is building the beater modifcation kit. I will try to get his name. I believe he specializes in modifications for the white and massey rotaries. thanks JW

J.W. If you have stones, and the trap is designed the same as those on 8560s, 8570s and 8780s I would...The trap is nice and wide but just isn't deep enough...it is an easy fix....I have never looked at the 9720 or 8590 stone traps...let me know if the trap is the same design as the 8000 series Massey combines....Neil
