A couple major things to look at are the seed boots for wear. If the wear get to be enough it will plug up with dirt and not let the seed out. Another thing is the bearings in the disks and firming wheels as with any planter setup. Find out what the disk opener diameter is new..if this drills are more than 1_2 inch from new, getting close to replacement on those also. Other than that a very easy piece of equipment to adjust for differant conditions. Does this have the active downpressure system for the openersIJ Is it a 15 or 20 ft, markers, 3 pt hitch or pull typeIJ

The drill is 15 feet wide. It has a cross auger onit.Has the twopoint hitch on it.You can tell the drill has notbeen out in any rain or sun light. The farmer wants 21000 canadian.Nothing is worn enough to be changed.A freind told me I should find 1560 because there is less grease fittings.

Don't go the 1560 route unless it's had the boot update. As far as zerks the 1997 750's have no more than the 1560. In my clay soils I change the blades at 2000 acres and the boots at 4000 acres. If you move the boot to get more blade wear you will gain at the most 1000 acres but the boots will have to be replaced at that time. Since the boots cost about twice as much as the blades it doesn't make much sense to go for maximum blade wear.
