Our family ran Masseys from '69 til '97 (410, 750, 850). In '98 I bought a '85 1460 and was sweating just like you. What I found was that the rotor did a much better job of separting the corn and beans. The rotor setting doesn't have to be very precise as it was on the Massey. The most important aspect is to set the sieves right and check the ground behind you. The deer in my area don't like the switch because now they tend to go hungry. Guess they'll have to migrate to where those green machines run.
