We run a 1680 1992 model, specality rotor, We normally use the large wire concaves for oats but last fall due to lighter bu weight we ran the front two concaves with small wire and 1 large wire for a little more rub. Worked great, we use the oval hole grates for the back. Run 1 1_2 to 2 setting on the concave clearance. I understand the Gordon Bar will improve the rub so you maybe can go a little more clearance. Fan speed around 850 rpm. I run a adjustable top sieve, 3_8 to 1_2 on the top and 1_4 to 3_8in. on the bottom sieve. If you are only marketing into the feed market you can use all large wire concaves with all wires in, also watch the wind as you can stand a little rougher sample, better to keep the lighter ones in the hopper, we grow oats for the Quaker Oat market, must be over 39lbs_bu and not too many small ones(Thins),If I am selling into the feed market I keep them in the combine along with the wild oats. If you need any further help E-mail me, I farm in southern Manitoba, Canada. I also grow corn and soybeans as well. Scouter Ed
