World wide they have the n1 selling tractor. They are n1 in Germany with the Fendt Tractor. I would think that is pretty stable. When they started AGCO they had 400M in sales, 2004 will likely exceed 5B. I would think that should answer your question, Merry Christmas

To follow up, in N. America the TOTAl market share is lower than one would like. HOWEVER if you take out the places AGCO has almost no dealer representation,(south and mid south - west) and count the places where there are AGCO, MF, Valtra, Spra-Coupe, Gleaner, White Planter , New Idea, lor'al, Hesston etc dealers all are pretty decent in mkt share %. More dealers coming on line every month. This will be a banner year for AGCO. As to exact %'s , that is a guess. AGCO, Deere, CNH, Kubota and MCCormick are all reporting INCREASES in market share.... you figure that one out.

AGCO is very stable. Regardless of what others say. Deere isn't all that strong outside of NA. They are in some spots but not as strong as Massey world wide when it comes to tractors. JD usually comes out last with something. Example: Rotary combine, high speed tranny, etc. Alot of people are taking alook at AGCO. Specially the new Massey combines. Take care, Nathan

For around here in West Victoria, Australia, I recond it would be for every Five(5) headers sold one would be a Gleaner as for tractors I would think it's for every fiveteen(15) sold one would be a Massey! (100+ for Agco star!!!) Now if we had a Half decent dealership around here I would bet you would triple thoses figures in AGCO's favor!!!! Hmmmm wonder if anybody will have words with me!!!!!!! I kinda veiw agco as a new company getting its roots down, 60 percent of the business is done oversea so that tells me that the business in the US isnt real large. We are just fortunate in this area of NE KS to have pretty good dealers with excellent support from shop personell. Agco is knocking on the door. They have good products, with good warranties and most generally are quite abit cheaper than the competition.

You mention their warranty, that is something I have a question about they advertise 2 year warranty header to spreader on their combines. Do you know if it has a deductible or a limt on hours or if just major components are covered after 1st year. I will put about 700 seperator hours on a year and their warranty sounds real impressive much better CNH

The warranty on the gleaner combines is a true 2 year unlimited hour warranty

It is a true two year header to spreader warranty. I just completed two years on my new Massey 8780xp very littel waranty, they have been great.
