tbran, 40 to 50 is average, there is some durum planted here not alot, western part of the state they seem to have alot nicer durum, don't seem to have scab problems we have here, course on the other hand I know a farmer that plants pinto beans and durum only, wow, nice durum, haven't seen durum that nice, scott.

I got the chance to cut a pretty good amount of durum in Montana when I worked for a custom harvester. Of all the crops I cut that year, durum was by far my favorite. Cut easy, cleaned easy and was just a good change of pace than thousands of acres of winter wheat that we had just done. I always grabbed a handful and munched on it all day long.
