Combines oil pressure problem

I would change oil again. If that does it again than have the valves set and injectors gone threw. Could be fuel dilution from intake valves hanging open or poor injectors. Make sure you don't have oil overfull for crank can dip oil. Seems like that engine borderline dips oil even when not overfull for stoping or starting quick sometimes makes gauge flex around. If crank is diping oil it will airiate it. Any knocking from engine or excess blowbyIJ Oil pressure at idle don't sound so bad but maybe could be higher at high idle. Maybe try another gauge with very high quality. Good luck

The engine doesn't sound any different and I haven't noticed any extra blow by. The engine has 2,600 hours on it. The dealer told me 60psi wasn't bad for that many hours which sounds exceptable. Any tips are great thanks for response.

Put a new guage up in the cab first. If you are a tightwad, check your wiring from the oil sender forward. You may have a bare or broken wire somewhere. There was a kit a long time ago to isolate the sender a little ways from the motor. Used a piece of hydraulic hose to do it. You might check to see if that was done on yours. Kelly

Does thermostat now keep temp at a regualated valueIJ Any chance thermostat can be put in backwardsIJ Make sure they gave you sender for the right engine. '92 air cooled was different than newer and gauge was different also. I know it is a long shot but some new senders are bad. Good luck

This may be a long shot, but if you have remote mounted filters take a close look at the blue hoses. I've seen them bubble up like they are ready to blow. I suppose they could do the same on the inside. You can unscrew the adapters and put the filter directly on the engine and see if it makes any difference. If you price new hoses you'll probably want to leave it that way.

First off thanks for all the input. I did replace all the blue hoses for 175 bucks didn't think about putting filters direct. That didn't solve the problem so I put new filters on again all three of them. That done the trick machanical gauge now reads 70 plus. Now I'm wondering why are the filters pluggingIJ After around 250 to 300 acres. Thank goodness I only have 300 more to go. Three sets of filters later. Shouldn't complain cause where haveing the best year in sw ohio ever 200 plus corn 50 to 65 Beans.

Better cut filter apart and check it out. Maybe water got dumped in but you should see steam from blowby. Are you using genuine filtersIJ Send in oil sample to have it checked out. Take care
