Combines OK I have the rotor out

Yes, it definitely does reduce rotor loss. The most significant difference that we have seen in a particular crop has been in green leafy milo. Currently have sep. grate covers (square material) installed on left hand side. Pulled all wires and then installed sep. grates, ran machine a little in high yielding milo, after much improvement on rotor loss, but still not totally satisfied, called factory and found out about plug kit. Result : Very low rotor loss almost none in 80-100 bushel milo. This area of the rotor stays clean of stalks,leaves,debris, thus allowing the grain to fall freely seperating itself from the mog. I personally feel that the sep. grate cover kit along with the plugs is definitely a must on all P-3_Series 2 machines, no matter what crop you are harvesting.

thanks for the tip, i never would have thought of doing this. i am going to try the liquid plastic and hopefully this will reduce my rotor loss on my 1999 r42 that i have been trying different settings for the last two years that we have owned the machine. this site has been a great help for me and appreciate eveyones ideas and tips.
