There is a local AC museum not too far from me in Steelville, Il. He only has 3 old Gleaners in it, but it is realy something to see all the old AC's lined up. It is worth your time if you are ever in So.Il.

Could you please give the name and direction for this museum place your talking aboutIJ I have been near Steeleville since I acquired some gleaner combines from farm auctions near Coultersville and Baldwin. Southern Il is beautiful in the springtime of the year. I think it greens up about 2-3 weeks before central Il - always a good drive there.

I can not remember the guys name. He was the AC dealer in Steelville for several years before he sold out the WM Nobe, so the dealer is now JD. I will see if I can find a name for you.

I know who you are talking about. I have visited with him a few times about gleaners. But I did not know he had a display of older machines. Thanks.

I guess I should have taken some pictures. He built a new steel span building back about 5-8 years ago, and it is full of all types of antique farm machinery, but mostly AC. He then bought the building next door, and filled it with old AC's also. I think he has one of every model, both wide and narrow, and gas_lP_diesel. Anybody that is interested in old AC's needs to take a tour of his place.

It is quite a way from Harrisburg. It is near Chester, which is along the Mississippi. I doubt you would of been able to get in anyway. The owner goes to Florida in the winter.

The guy you are thinking about is Gerald Zacheis. Not sure on the spelling, but that is the way it sounds. He shows up at the larger AC shows to sell parts. John
