A TR 86 or 96 would be an excellent machine for 500 acres. With the hilly ground the field tracker would be an excellent feature to have(this is standard on TR combines where as it was an option other machines) Price on the 86 ans 96 models is very reasonable and NH may or may not have some good financing programs available. Good luck finding a machine.

A TR-86 would be fine for 500 acres with a 20' grain head and 6 row corn head. You could harvest about 60-80 acres per good day. Price will be about $25,000 to $40,000 depending on hrs on combine. 2000 or less hrs on the combine would be better. You could look at TR-96's also as they may not be much more money than a 86 and you could have 25' grain head and 8 row corn head and harvest 80-100 acres per day. The terrain tracer is very nice on rolling ground and you won't find that on any other used combine over 5 years old. If TR's are kept in good shape they will last a long time and are not that hard to work on. let us know if we can help you with any other answers. Good luck. Ilnewholland
