One of these days, the US will get in sync with the rest of the world. I thought it would happen by now but bad habits are hard to break,

I'm afraid your module won't be new enough to convert to metric. I'll try remember to get S_N at which it became posible. I wonder if the ground speed signal out of speedo module changes with tire size or metric setting. I kind of doubt it for newer acre estimater needs to be set for tire size. Sometime along the road Gleaner added the hole in the plastic cover for you. Good luck

OK here it is. Module n71370325 did not change with software upgrade for metric. Eff module S_N2756 date code 0697 would be good for metric. Eff R62 S_N67161 and R72 S_N77070 would be good for metric. Cover in plastic cover became eff in '98. New modules sometime during '97 model run. Multiply currant MPH setting by 1.61 to get speed to come out in metric. Maybe you could check with Gleaner over there to see if they have a way to upgrade software without replaceing module. Or try www.agri-tronix.com to see if they can upgrade it. I suppose if they could it would cost more in shipping than replacing module. Good day

Relax Dan! I have just made a new speed sensor disc that bolts onto the gearbox shaft in place of the standard disc. The standard disc, or ours at least, has 8 spokes to trigger the sensor. I just made a new one with 13 spokes which, with the adjustments that Rolf has figured out will put us right in the middle of the metric speed range. It was very simple to make a new disc out of 3mm scrap and drill 13 holes. Took a couple of hours. Cheers!

Outstanding guys. That just may do the trick. The acre estimater, pacer, and auto reel speed module. let us know if you can tweak the other modules to work proper with the increased ground speed out signal. Good luck

G"day Dan and Co Have tried the new metric speedo and all seems ok!! I have increased the Cal factor from 27.5 to 30 since we now have the new 13 spike sensor ring! and I have used my Garmin 3+ GPS to set-up the speedo to a rough cal factor until we get in the paddock I will have to set it up there properly as well as all the other things that use that speed sensor ring!!! but all seems to be in order Rolf
