For the flex head, you want the belt on the larger sheave on the bottom next to the header on the right side. It will run the feeder chain faster without affecting your header speed. That is regulated on the left side.

Yes, the lower sheave is the drive. The larger sheave gives your feeder the faster speed. We always run ours on the fast setting for small grain and soybeans and switch to slow setting for corn. I see below that tbran runs his on fast setting even for corn. Dealer reccomended that with our 1st rotary (R50) but we ran into a lot of problems with chain jumping a cog. Once we started running on slow speed for corn, a lot of the cog jumping disappeared. This machine had the older, lighter chain though. Maybe these newer, heavier chains wouldn't jump as easily - perhaps we should give it a try once just to find out.
