Combines options R65

No one has answered, so my suggestions are, R65 -Corn soy version-lateral tilt, 7" feed drums, I love RWA because it gives an on the go speed change, and an insurance policy if it gets muddy to not rut the fields so bad and its smooooth. High wire grate and either chopper or impeller. We like the impeller even in no til as the hyd spreader now does such a great job of spreading residue. CDF factory cyls are an improvement over the std, might even pop for one of the Bisons. There are a few 800 headers left at a bargain. However the new 8200's in production today with SCH cutting system and orbit reel are super. Just as a matter of record, we found an 05 R65 on the ground and priced it with 8000 head and it was $25,000+ less than an 08....... One could update to the 4 chain, put Dan's floor kit in, a pro-drive on the head and still have $20 grand plus left over for a nice vacation...........there would be about 10 grand difference in trade value 3-4 yrs from now - less than that if the 08 upgrades were added.. Just food for thought - I luv a bargain but then again, fresh paint smells sooooo goooood

We bought a new R65 a year ago, it was built in April of '07. For options we have; Smart Trac, hydraulic chaff spreader, long spout, the rotating beacons, easy close rock door, fine cut chopper. We liked every option we got and would recommend each of them. We also put a Maurer grain extension on, we really like that plus it looks sharp on a Gleaner. I would consider the flip up style ladder and the HID next time but we did not price them. The GTAII monitor is ok, it is not as good as an Ag leader in my opinion. You will love the CDF, the 4 strand feedchain and the one point hook up ! On a side note.....make sure you have extra fuel filters on hand.

how many bushels does your R65 hold with the maurer grain extension and does it lower the overall height of combine with extensions upIJ

I have a R75 that is equiped like yours. I would for sure get the lat. tilt. hyd. chaff speader, easy close door. The fine cut chopper,I like it but have had trouble with it.tore the whole side of the combine out,but I think it is standard equip now. I have the turrent auger,HATE IT. love the beacon lights. The mauer extension ,I like it,but it only holds 350,but sure looks good. I found an 05 last year that was new so the mauer and the black stripe looks good together. I have metric duals on mine,I really like them. IG

350, I am not sure on the height, they take the factory extensions off and it sits at the same height of the cab. If you want me to I could measure ,how far above the cab it sits. IG

if you could get me a measurement above cab that would be great. my shop door is about 3 inches to low to get my combine in without folding down factory extensions.

thanks for measurement. that maurer will give me lots of clearance and a few more bushels.
