Combines Orange stripe R60

Yes, the orange stripes were the last of the 40's - 70's and has the P3 processor. Also have a white_gray cab interior instead of the tan interior like the older models. It was about this time they also added an annoying little switch in the seat that shuts the separator_unloader off when you get up to stretch your muscles. A little jumper wire takes care of it though! ;) Good luck-

About four years we had a neighbor get pulled in the header of his M Gleaner. No, he did not survive the event. That jumper wire was removed from the seat of our machine that night. It is annoying when every thing stops when you get off the set, but better to be annoyed than dead. JMTCW. Don

I agree totally with the separator shut-off feature but I don't like the unloader shutting off when you get out of the seat. If there were some way I could have wired it to do just that, I would. I'm sure there's a way, but I've not taken the time to study the wiring diagrams. We never run the separator when out of the cab anyhow, only to oil chains. We also never get into the hopper with the unloader running. It's just a nice time to get up and stretch when you are unloading. They make those Series II cabs darned nice, but the circulation tends to slow down a bit after awhile!

My neighbor became accustomed to setting the toolbox on the seat of his 9400 while combining beans. He would let the machine continue to run while he was standing beside the cab "answering to nature", that is until he lost his balance one evening and fell. luckily, no broken bones and he managed to get up and catch up to his combine. An important lesson learned, though!

Well, if nothing else, it sure would've made a good video for that "Amazing Videos" show on TV! Someone should notify Deere to put a safety strap somewhere outside the cab door to strap yourself to when relieving oneself on the go! I'm sure that feature would make the front page of the new sales literature!
