Combines Orbit reels and hopper toppers

Orbit reel easily added 1 to 2 mph to my soybean speeds. I could run 2nd gear wide open (5.6 mph) the majority of the time in 50 bu_acre beans.

About the hopper topper I ran them on my 1680s back in 1989 and they worked ok very fastto take down I did not have sheds tall enough so I wanted some thing that was fast to take down I actually seen one of the old machines the other day with close to 10000 hrs on it and the canvas hopper topper was still good you will also need the burve bubble up auger if you are doing wet corn.

What is it about the orbit reel that gets you the extra speedIJ Also, are the beans you arr cutting tall and leaning or shorter and straightIJ Thanks

I just assumed it was feeding the rotor smoother. I usually have fairly good standing beans but last year nothing stood very well. One variety was very bad.
